NCDC is organizing the “TRAINDIA - 2016 - TRAINERS CONCLAVE” (17-18 November 2016)

The Civil Defence Act amended in 2010 added the additional responsibility of supporting District Administration’s disaster management efforts to the Civil Defence Corps members in order to build capacity to be prepared for any war like emergency. The original role of performing a nodal agency for emergency relief during war time was retained and was expected to re-define the strategy for implementation which could balance both responsibilities equitably.
The Sendai framework for Disaster Risk Reduction (2016-2030) can be a guideline for achievement by the Civil Defence Organisation which aims to build capacities for a Resilient Community. There is a dire need to re-look and revise the training modalities and programs in order to develop and motivate dedicated volunteer leaders to render yeomen service to the nation during emergencies.
In view of the above, the NCDC is organizing the “TRAINDIA - 2016 - TRAINERS CONCLAVE” to dwell on the below given points and prepare a document of future strategy that can be presented for implementation.

• Civil Defence Response and Skill Development Center in each district.
• Accredited and Certified skilled Development Programs.
• Skilled voluntary force in each district on specialized tasks.
• Formation of Indian Civil Defence Association (ICDA)
The Nomination of delegates must reach National Civil Defence College by 30 October 2016 through email ncdcngp@dataone.in & cddrm_ncdc@yahoo.co.in or fax 0712-2565614
